Trigonometry Past Paper Questions for iGCSE Additional Maths Cambridge (0606)
Studying for your Additional Maths iGCSE?
On this page you'll find plenty of questions on trigonometry from Cambridge Additional Maths IGCSE past papers.
Students should be able to work with all six trigonometric functions—sine, cosine, tangent, secant, cosecant, and cotangent—for angles of any magnitude. This includes understanding and applying the amplitude and period of trigonometric functions.
They should be confident drawing and interpreting the graphs of functions such as y = a sin bx + c, y = a cos bx + c, and y = a tan bx + c, where the constants a, b, and c affect the shape and position of the graph.
Key identities such as sin²A + cos²A = 1, sec²A = 1 + tan²A, and cosec²A = 1 + cot²A should be understood and used to prove trigonometric relationships.
Students are also expected to solve trigonometric equations involving all six functions, within a specified domain.
